Hey everyone,
I thought it was time to pay tribute to my all time favorite, Dolly Parton. She inspired me for the first time when I was 19 years old. Hearing her voice from my parents TV set stopped me in my tracks that fateful evening. As the story goes, I was in a rock and roll band at that time and brought my new Dolly vinyl LP to rehearsal. I insisted the band cover her song, "Down From Dover". The band didn't agree and told me I should probably find another band. I sure did and later found out what a huge favor they did by firing me. Along the way, I also discovered songwriting. All the while, Dolly's songwriting was inspiring me in so many ways. Real life stories, songs about home, love and loss. I'd like to play some of my favorite Dolly Parton songs for you. I will have my long time friend, guitar picker, co-producer and traveling companion, Scott Neubert joining me Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 7pm Central Time. We hope you can join us too!
